St Kitts and Nevis citizenship
St Kitts and Nevis offers contribution, approved real estate and public benefit investment options.
Investment options
The Sustainable Island State Contribution (SISC) and public benefit options each start at US$250,000. Approved development or eligible condominium investments start at US$325,000, and single-family private homes at US$600,000. Additional fees apply; verify the individual project and current rules.
Eligibility and family
The main applicant must be at least 18 and pass background checks. Qualifying spouses, children and dependent parents may be included. Check the current age, education and financial dependency rules for adult children and the criteria for other relatives.
Application process
Applications must be submitted through an authorised agent, not directly to the Citizenship Unit. The authority conducts due diligence; the main applicant must attend an interview, and dependants aged 16 or over may also be interviewed. After approval in principle, complete the investment and remaining payments before citizenship is granted.
Documents and costs
Typical documents include passports, birth and marriage records, police certificates, proof of address, medical and source-of-funds evidence, with translation or certification where required. Budget for due diligence, government, certificate, passport and agent fees in addition to the investment; the total varies by route and family.
After approval
Real estate must meet applicable holding and resale rules; the official guide describes a seven-year holding requirement. Before paying, verify project approval, contract and exit terms, and assess existing nationality, tax and travel arrangements separately.
