The pathway
The White Card is for eligible third-country nationals working remotely for an overseas employer or managing a profitable overseas business using digital technology. Holders may not establish an employment relationship in Hungary or hold shares in a Hungarian company.
Prepare your application
Applicants must show legal net income of at least EUR 3,000 per month for at least six months before entry and maintain it throughout their stay. Work or business, accommodation and healthcare evidence is also required; check the immigration authority’s list.
After approval
The White Card is valid for up to one year and can be extended once for up to another year. Check renewal, work restrictions, individual tax obligations and family arrangements in advance.
