Philippines work visa
Planning to work for an employer in the Philippines? We help you understand the 9(g) work visa and any applicable employment permit requirements.
The pathway
The 9(g) visa is a pathway for pre-arranged employment in the Philippines. The procedure depends on the applicant’s status and circumstances; check whether an Alien Employment Permit (AEP) from the labour department is also required.
Employer and documents
Confirm the role and application arrangements with the employer. Prepare a passport, employment documents and an AEP where applicable. Check the document list and any authentication or translation requirements with the employer and relevant authorities.
After approval
Check the validity of the visa and work permit, registration requirements and renewal arrangements. If the employment relationship or conditions change, confirm whether updates or other procedures are required.
